Campbell County Courts
There are, generally speaking, three (3) Courts in Campbell County which may be handling your civil, non-juvenile case: they are the General Sessions Court, the Chancery Court, and the Circuit Court.
The General Sessions Court is sometimes referred to as "small claims court," where contested and uncontested divorces, landlord/tenant disputes, some property damage and personal injury claims, many orders of protection, and civil claims such as unpaid hospital bills and credit card debts are determined. Hon. Amanda H. Sammons is the Judge of the General Sessions Court of Campbell County, and has served in that position since 2014.
Here is the Order of the General Sessions Court of Campbell County concerning how Court will be conducted in the coming months. Please click on the Order above for more detailed information concerning how to handle your upcoming appearance in General Sessions Court.
